H10 Salauris Palace, Salou - Cambrils

The H10 Salauris Palace, is in a great location to go to Port Adventure & Ferrari Land. You can't check in until 3 pm, so we had to leave our luggage in the lock up room. The beach is about 10 minutes away. Bars, restaurants & shopping nearby. Very good location, it has a very impressive reception area, with friendly staff, ( apart from the customer relations manager, she seemed to look down her nose at everybody ). Plenty of seating areas inside & outside. ROOMS - Great size, 2 big comfy double beds pushed together. 2 big mirrored wardrobes lots of space in them. FREE safe included. Fridge, TV only had 1 English channel. Armchair & table in the corner. Soft closing drawers & doors great idea stopped the noise. Large balcony with good size dryer we got all our washing dried. Bathroom - double walk in shower great water pressure & always hot water - no bath, toiletries included & good quality. Towels & bedding changed regularly, fantastic cleaners always did a very god job thank you ! FOOD - The restaurant was chaotic at times, lots of queues at he entrance to get in. There are a lot more 4* hotels in Salou, with better quality foods. It was luke warm most of the time. Breakfast - cooking station, the chef will do fresh omelettes,pancakes & fried eggs. Bacon, eggs, sausages, black pudding, cheese, ham, cereals, breads, pastries, fresh fruit. Coffee, juices, water. Dinner - cooking station, meat & fish. Salads, soup, cheese, ham, fresh meats. 3- 4 luke warm choices a couple of veg. Shell fish. Desserts, fruit. Good quality ice cream. Children's section that they couldn't really get to as it was to close to the adults queuing for warm food also adults eating all the children's chips & potatoes as they didn't put it with the warm food. The children's section should be on a separate area. The pizza was shocking, worst ever, the staff need training. Loud & noisy like a school canteen. Nice large pool with disabled hoist. Lots of sunbeds, you have to chase the sun round. Sunbathing area on the top of the Hotel is great, fantastic views of Reus, Ferrari Land & the surrounding area. Great for topping up your tan. Jacuzzi, shower & toilets. The area was looking a bit tied, decking needed repainting, but the best place in Salou for sunbathing. Adults only area over 16's only. Live entertainment every night, kids club, pool tables, video games, air hockey. Children's aster turf football pitch, children's play area Lots of places to sit & read, free reading books to borrow. Jet2 & TUI rep desks. Steam room & sauna. You can hire pool towels 5 euros each towel refundable on return, 1 euro for washing. Well equipped gym, indoor pool you need to wear a swimming hat. Underground parking. Room tip, wouldn't pay for a pool view - noise from the entertainment on a day & night until 12 am ( usual in Spain ). We had a room overlooking the road, facing Ferrari Land which was quiet & nice views. We would go back if we got a good price, but would choose others in Salou first.

I would highly recommend this hotel, we stayed for five nights in September/October. The reception is very bright modern, reception staff a pleasure to deal with. Restaurant was very busy for breakfast, my only complaint is is for the hotel to have more toast stations as it's very busy. Pool was freezing in 29 degree heat but it has indoor pool which was also fab and heated, no inflatables is annoying for children as they'd like to have some fun with them but i understand it's for safety. Room cleaned every day, housekeeping staff were so lovely and friendly. Entertainment was fab, we are family of 2+2 (8 and 14) and they loved it, the girl who does kids entertainment is outstanding - great energy! my only gripe was bar staff were not friendly and the menu in the bar was hit and miss i couldn't figure out when it would be normal menu or just pizza offered so that was strange. We will def be back next year, loved it.

Very nice hotel, lovely clean well decorated rooms with nice large shower. Hotel is well situated between the town and nearby beach and a 10 minute walk to Portaventura theme park & Caribe water park. Very helpful staff too. Would most definitely go back and stay again if I revisit salou.

What can i say......we had the best time at the H10 Salauris Palace. The hotel is in a great location, walking distance to the beach but far enough away from the very busy main areas of Salou. Nice and peaceful. The hotel entrance is very impressive from outside and inside. Our room was very nicely decorated and we were very impressed! Lovely balcony overlooking the pool. We even managed to watch the fireworks from our balcony which were on the beach as part of the closing ceremony of the annual Nits Daurades festival. We absolutely loved the pool!! My daughter hardly came up for air! Haha. We also loved the pool activities and dont take any notice of the previous review which said the pool was unusable during the games. Its absolute rubbish. They only used part of the pool and even the part that was being used you were never told that you couldn't swim in that part. Yes ok there were queues every day for the sunbeds but we never failed to get one even if we went out around 10am. Just a suggestion, could there be 1 member of staff who hangs around at 9am after the doors are opened and anyone they see putting towels on sunbeds and immediately going for breakfast tell them that its not allowed and if they dont listen put their towel in a basket. Im sure after a few days people would start getting the message. The food from the pool snack bar was delicious. My daughter loved the nachos and the pizza. We tried pretty much everything and it was all very tasty. Breakfast was fantastic. Pretty much everything you can think of for breakfast is available and they cater for all tastes. You can have something different every morning. Plus champagne for breakfast some days!!! Wow! First time we have experienced this. When on holiday why not! Haha. Evening meal again was fantastic. Again lots and lots of different choices. My daughter is very fussy but she always had lots on her plate and the puddings omg are to die for!!! We didn't really watch any of the evening entertainment. My daughter who is 8 was a bit old to be honest for the kids entertainment but we loved playing pool and just chilling out. On the friday evening we were amazed to see that at supper time the hotel had brought in a very talented woman to play the violin whilst we were eating supper. Omg this was amazing! She was super talented and my daughter loved every minute. She played some great familiar songs like Mamma mia, friends, coldplay! Just WOW!! All the staff were really friendly and helpful. The only thing i would say is that we arrived very early in the morning 2am and we didnt have any water on us or food. We were very hungry after travelling pretty much all day the previous day. I asked the member of staff on reception if we could have some water and he said we had to go to the vending machine on the bottom floor. We didnt have any loose coins on us so we couldnt use the machines. It would have been nice if the hotel knows that guests are arriving early morning if they could provide a bottle of water each and something/anything to eat. We had an amazing stay here and are so happy we chose the H10 Salauris Palace! We miss you and the sunshine! Its rained every day since we have been back in Wales! Haha!

Went in July, a family of 5, 3 teens aged 13, 15 and 16. Really enjoyed the holiday. Excellent hotel, very clean, staff very friendly and helpful. We stayed for 7 days, wish it was longer. I asked reception for several different things and they were very helpful. Cleaning service daily, drinks not too expensive at all, £3 for a pint of lager. Animation staff keeping everyone entertained during the day and night. The evening entertainment was a bit hit and miss. Pool tables and air hockey available. Small football area around the back of the hotel. Fridges in every room, tv has no english channel apart from bbc news. Sunbed situation not too bad, we never queued, was busy but people come and go. If there are towels reserving beds for over half an hour then let reception now and they come out and leave a note on the beds, then check later. If still not there then they remove the towels. Large selection of ice creams. Very good selection of different foods in the restaurant, changes daily. Not much for me as a gf/dairy free but still enough. Decaf coffee in the machine at breakfast which was good. Pizzas at the bar very nice, not too expensive either, better than the pizza at dinner. Overall fantastic hotel would stay again. Went to the theme park, but was a little warm for us in the day, would go later next time. Aquopolis was excellent, but would go in the week next time as too busy. Not too far from centre of salou, we walked most nights into there.
